Souvenir Floral Bouquet is a very pleasant splash of transparent (lily-of-the-valley?) freshness with a hint of greenery softened by vanilla caramel. A light, fruity dessert comes to mind when the berry shades of strawberry, lychee and a nutty-vanilla aspect appear in the greens – like fresh, jammy fruits in a creamy caramel-nutty sauce. The floral heart of Souvenir Floral Bouquet is more peony than roses or lily-of-the-valley, hinting at sun-warmed peonies and fluffy willow buds. The heart is not very sweet; I'd compare it to Fleur Narcotique Ex Nihilo peonies, while not as zappy. And there`s some very familiar sweet note. At one time I was told that this is the smell that is responsible for the sweetness of roasted malt – a warm and soft smell of sweetness, reminiscent of caramel and vanilla. but at the same time different enough from both of them. As far as I understand, this is maltol – the sweetness that isn't very sweet and not sticky. The walnut-caramel accord after the first splash gradually subsides, leaving behind a feeling of delicate white-pink fluff... Not cotton candy fluff, but white bird's down. Aside from the transparent peony (Petalia) reference to Fleur Narcotique, this Afnan fragrance is linked to Quentin Bisch's other popular fragrance, Delina Parfums de Marly. It is similar to several musky fragrances of Tiziano Terenzi and Rose Extase Nina Ricci by Francis Kurkdjian (rose, raspberry and vanilla), but not as evident. Interestingly, the styles of Quentin and Francis in relation to the rose are somewhat similar: soft, insinuating, pleasant warmth, and fluffy character. By the way, I would not be surprised if a similar fragrance appeared in the Parfums de Rosine collection at some time. The perfume profile is really good.
