The SHIELD TV features 3GB of RAM with 16GB of storage, which is expandable using compatible USB 3.0 drives through its two USB ports. It connects to your local network via Wi-Fi or its Ethernet port.
For your convenience, the SHIELD TV includes a gaming-style controller with a built-in microphone, which, after a future firmware update, will support Google voice-search functionality. This controller also features a headphone output for private listening. The SHIELD TV has a number of popular apps built-in and includes a conventional remote control in addition to the gaming controller.
